There are a few areas in Arbor that need to be set up in a particular way to work with Edulink One.
Edulink One pulls information from the MIS (Arbor in this case), which it uses to ensure that data and category types are up to date. There are areas in Arbor that update live or require a small internal cache to update, taking no more than a few minutes. They include Registers, Adding Behaviour, Adding Achievement, Data Collections and Detentions.
However, if you are updating category-type information, such as behaviour and achievement types (created in Arbor itself), then you will need to run a full cache before this information updates in Edulink One.
Parent Accounts
In Arbor, parents must be classed as legal guardians to obtain an Edulink One account. This is the equivalent of having parental responsibility in SIMS. To add contacts, go to the student’s profile in Arbor, then the ‘Family, Guardians and Contacts’ section. To add a relative, click the +Add button.

Timetable and Class Information
Arbor uses Academic Units, and each teaching group assigned to a course is its own academic unit and must have a subject assigned to it.

Edulink One uses this information to populate many areas, including the filters where you search for classes. For example, to add homework to a class, the subject must be populated in the academic unit in Arbor.

Timetables also require periods and cycles to be set up in Arbor to pull in the correct timetable information. This is required for Registers as well.

For more on setting up timetables, please see the following article.
Behaviour and Achievement
Arbor behaviours work on incidents, which may or may not be assigned a severity, or point scales, which can be linked to incidents, though they can work independently of them. They are positive, negative and neutral, so behaviour in Arbor encompasses both behaviour and achievement, depending on how you set it up. This will impact what is seen in Edulink.
You can turn on the individual point scales in our Behaviour tab under Behaviour Scales.

This also applies to Achievement in Edulink One.
Documents
Edulink One automatically pulls in custom report types into the Documents area. Additionally, you can upload standard reports and external reports using our document upload tool, located in Administration Settings > Documents.

Medical notes and SEN documents will be uploaded to the respective areas if the report type (Medical Note or SEN) is selected in Edulink One’s Document Uploads.
You can also add pinned notes to registers in Edulink One from Arbor.
