How Do I Block a User from Replying to Messages?

To block a user from replying to messages, you need to create a fixed user group in Edulink One and configure it in the Communicator tab of the Administration settings.

Communicator Tab

Scroll until you find the create/reply message settings and select the ‘Allow Users to Reply to Messages Field’.

Allow Users to reply to messages field

In the setting, you can allow user groups, which pull in all employees, teachers, learners or parents. This is a blanket option allowing all users to reply to messages sent by employees and changes with updates to the MIS.

The second option is to create fixed user groups. The benefit of using fixed user groups in this setting is you can disable individual users from replying to messages.

You must untick the dynamic group and tick the fixed user group you create to disable user access to reply.

To do this, go to the User Groups tab and create a new user group.

Name the group and select the members. In this instance, selecting all will allow all users to reply to messages.
