How Do I Block a User from Edulink?

You can permanently block a student user from Edulink One by excluding them within the Agent. This must be done at the school level.

WARNING: Excluding a user here means that any contacts associated with the user will also be blocked, e.g. if you exclude a student user, their parents will also be excluded.

Removing a student using this method also means they will disappear from class registers.

Please consider using this with caution.

Administrators need to access the Edulink One Agent on their server. You will find this in the system tray.

Edulink Agent cog

Open the Agent and select MIS Connection.

MIS Connection

Then select ‘ Change Exclude Users’ to input the MIS ID of the user you would like to exclude from Edulink.

Change Exclude Users button

Write the MIS ID in the box and click Add, then click Apply.

The user and all contacts associated with the user will then be excluded from Edulink One.

Where can I find the MIS ID?

In the SIMS MIS, you can run a report to find the MIS ID of the user. However, this is not the case for every MIS ID Edulink One uses.

If the student or parent is already in the system, you can find the MIS ID in the ‘Load User Accounts’ section of the Login tab.

Load User Accounts

Scroll to the bottom of the table and select ‘Column Visibility’.

Column visibility button

Then choose the MIS ID filter, and the MIS ID appears beside the user type filter.

MIS Compatibility

Please note this only applies to schools that have the physical Edulink One Agent installed on a server. If you do not have an Agent, this method will not work.
