Configuring Behaviour in Bromcom to work with Edulink One

Edulink One requires that an event created in Bromcom has an event type linked to it and adjustment points, including a score of 0 if it is considered a neutral type of behaviour.

To create a new event, go to Config> Behaviour> Events.

Bromcom: Config> Behaviour> Events

Select ‘New‘ to create the behaviour event.

New event

In event details, provide a name and start date for the behaviour event. This does not have to include an end date.

For Edulink One, select the Event Type, which acts as an umbrella for other events. You must also include a value for the adjustment points here to display in Edulink. This includes a value of 0 for neutral behaviours.

If you have not created an event type, go to Config> Behaviour> Event Types.

Event Types

Select ‘New‘ to create an event type.

The event type is now available to select in Event Details when creating a new event.

To enable specific behaviours for viewing, go to the Behaviour (or achievement) settings to select the event types you would like to display.

Top Tip: Behaviours in Bromcom can be positive, negative or neutral. All types will appear in Edulink One’s behaviour event types. Select the negative event types for Edulink One’s behaviour functionality, and select the positive event types for achievement.
